Description
A wonderfully distinctive French yellow gold ring decorated with richly coloured blue, yellow and red enamel.
The domed design is divided by polished yellow gold ribs, with vivid cobalt-blue enamel panels displaying intricate red and yellow bee and floral motifs. Its bold colour, charming symbolism and beautifully sculpted profile give the ring an unmistakably European character.
The ring carries several conflicting marks. It is stamped “9ct” inside the band, while the exterior is marked “14” on one side and “750” on the other. Testing indicates the gold is approximately 14ct; however, because this differs from the 9ct stamp, the exact fineness cannot be guaranteed without formal assay. All marks and testing results are disclosed for complete transparency.
